South Africa’s richest agricultural province, and home to our highest court, the Free State is not regarded as a tourism hotspot. Yet despite the lack of interest in Free State from foreign travelers, the province offers up some of the very best golfing experiences the country has to offer. Bloemfontein has several renowned courses and there is also a mix of great course along the Vaal River and gimmicky courses in dry dusty towns. Some of the more popular Free State golf courses include: Maccauvlei on Vaal, Vaal De Grace, Bloemfontein Golf Club, Kroonstad Country Club, Parys Golf Club, Oppenheimer Park Golf Club. Source.
